Korn Concert Review-The Night of the Dreads Tour To Las Vegas
Korn Brings The Night of the Dreads Tour To Las Vegas
The “Night of the Dreads” tour exploded onstage at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, Saturday, July 30, 2016. The Co-Headlining Tour featured Korn and Rob Zombie, with the tour supporting Korn’s upcoming album “The Serenity of Suffering” due to be released on October 21, 2016 and Rob Zombie’s recent release.
The night began with a dramatic appearance by In this Moment, followed by the Master of Horror, Rob Zombie supporting his recent release “The Electric Warlock Acid Witch Satanic Orgy Celebration Dispenser.”
It was Korn that owned the night as the band erupted onstage with a stellar version of Right Now from their 2003 release Take a Look in the Mirror. From the band’s explosive entrance, Korn demonstrated that they came fully prepared to crush this night as they set the audience at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas into a frenzy.
With this performance showcasing the Korn classics Blind, Got The Life and Freak On A Leash and the unveiling of the new tune Rotting in Vein, it proved to be an evening of classic, unrelenting, in your face, Korn, making this an incredible night with many highlights.
Definitely one of the huge highlights of the evening was when frontman Jonathan Davis spoke to the Las Vegas crowd and said, “You know we just got out of the studio, we worked really hard on this record we’re getting ready to put out pretty soon. I think you guys are going to like it, so tonight we’re going to play a new song off it. You want to hear some?
The crowd erupted into a fanatical yes and the band unleashed their new tune Rotting in Vein from their forthcoming album entitled The Serenity Of Suffering due out on October 21, 2016.
At one point in the show, some of the band members’ kids joined the band onstage, throwing picks into the audience and headbanging with their dads. Davis introduced their young rockers to the audience by saying; “Come on everybody, let’s make some noise for the Korn Kids!“
The entire crowd of the Mandalay Bay Event center marched out of the venue and into the Hotel, with the power and energy of the show still etched in their minds, chanting KORN and still screaming; you could feel the intensity of the night and the eager anticipation for the release of the new CD.
